While growing up, Terri was active with the Young Peoples Society at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waupun. She moved to Southern, CA in 1985, and it was there she met the love of her life, Calvin (Bo) Mahurien at their Square Dance Club. The story goes that when Terri asked Bo to dance, he said his dance card was full and she would have to wait until next week. They danced to the Anne Murray song “May I have this dance.” A month later he asked her to marry him! In 1996 they moved from California to Pennsylvania and settled in the Pocono Mountains. Shortly after that they moved to the Zeiglerville, PA area. Terri was employed as the Fiscal Director of Monroe County, PA since 1997. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Pottstown, PA. Terri and Bo enjoyed traveling and took trips to several areas of the world. Terri’s free time was spent doing some of the other things she enjoyed; knitting, cross stitching, sewing, watching old classic movies and TV shows, and reading. She enjoyed decorating their home with Bo’s wildlife pencil drawings, Pennsylvania Dutch flatware, but mostly pictures of her family and friends.
