[leftcolumn] Bob was born May 30, 1931 in the township of Metomen the son of Aldert and Cynthia VandenBerg Rens. Being a cook in the Navy, he got involved in the restaurant business. Bob and his wife, Mary, bought and operated The Ren House Restaurant for 13 years. So sorry for your loss. I’ve known Bob and his wife for many years. Remembering our time at the county park pool time for seniors. I was in the same class with Mary’s brother and sister-in-law also. Too many memories to mention. Bob ‘s sister Helen lives across the hall from me now, it seems some connections go on and on. May the Good Lord Bless Bob and all his family.

    Mary and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I did not know he was sick. I knew you guys had not been at the Y for awhile, but thought you were just out and about.

Sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I know I will miss Bob’s smile and his antics he did as he passed through from the family pool to the locker room.

To all of the Rens family: my deepest sympathy and condolences. I have many, many good memories of our neighborhood, especially of Diane and Dave. Also those wonderful ice cream cones we got as treats from the Ren house. Bob was a very kind man and is missed by me and my family.

Condolences are closed.
