Virginia Mays

Virginia Mays, age 76, passed away on February 26, 2025. 

Virginia was born on May 15, 1948, the daughter of Clifford and Geneva Claxton Cuff. She graduated from Rio High School. Virginia was proud to have served as a caregiver at Columbia Health Care Center for a decade, where her kindhearted nature and unwavering support made a significant impact on countless lives. Her commitment to caring for those in need was evident to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for the warmth and love she brought to her work.

Virginia is survived by her son, Matthew Johnson; and her grandchildren, Hailey Johnson and Logan Johnson. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Mays; her parents, Clifford and Geneva Cuff; her two children: Nicolas Johnson, who passed away in infancy, and Owen May, who left this world in 2015; and siblings: Philip Cuff and Marvin Cuff.

Virginia Mays' legacy will live on through the lives she touched as a caregiver. 

The family would like to thank Dorie Quist and the Beaver Dam Health Care Center for all their help in caring for Ginny over the past years.

Private family services will be held.
