1923-2015
Virginia Phelps, 92, formerly of Fox Lake, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Randolph.
Ginny was born March 14, 1923 in Beaver Dam the daughter of Delmar and Cora Ganske Steinhorst. She graduated from Fox Lake High School in 1941. On September 11, 1943 she married Clifford Phelps at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Fox Lake area all of their married lives. Ginny was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fox Lake where she was a member of the Ladies of St. John’s. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 521 in Fox Lake, Trentonette Homemaker’s Club, and HOA Club.
Ginny is survived by five children: Linda (Ervin) Golembiewski of Plymouth, Bill (Nancy) Phelps of Fox Lake, Elizabeth (Michael) Bahn of Wildomar, CA, Andrew (Lynn) Phelps of Stoughton, WI, and Thomas (Susan) Phelps of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 1984, two infant daughters, a grandson; a sister; two brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.

Friends and relatives of Virginia Phelps may call on the family at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Virginia Phelps will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fox Lake with Rev. David Nottling officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
