Todd Selk

July 18, 1960 — September 27, 2024

Todd “Toad” Michael Selk, age 64, of Randolph, WI, passed away on Friday, September 27th as a result of a cardiac event.

Todd was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 18, 1960 to Joan and Vernon Selk. He graduated from Randolph High School and despite many interested parties, he met the love of his life in 1978, Nan Dahl. They married on May 3rd, 1986. They lovingly called each other “Darling,” and were a great example of love to their two girls.

To know Todd was to love Todd.

Toad was the life of the party with his amazing one liners and hilarious, animated stories always at the ready. He was always the tough biker guy with the biggest, softest heart. The older he got, the more tenderhearted he became.

Todd lived his life always on the go making friends and family wherever he went. Whether it be putting many miles on the Harley, visiting what seemed like everyone in all of Wisconsin, or simply going to visit his nearby establishments on a weeknight, Todd was well known and his presence truly brought happiness to all.

He was a proud member of the Free Wheelers Motorcycle Club and served as its president for many years.

Todd enjoyed being outdoors. He loved taking the boat out fishing with Nan on Beaver Dam and Fox Lake. In recent years, he decided to beat the winter blues with taking up the hobby of ice fishing. This helped break up the count down to when he could get his Harley back out again. For many years he and Nan would take the bike out to South Dakota to visit friends and everything scenic that it had to offer.

Todd and Nan found a favorite condo to rent in Pensacola Florida and had one amazing month there together basking in the sunshine this past spring.

Todd was quite the handyman in the house, at work, and on his parents’ farm. Anything with wheels would be back to new with his talents.

His most favorite hobby was supporting his grandchildren in any way possible. He never hesitated to join them in any activity like spa days, playing in the pool, jumping in leaf piles, or simply playing on the floor with them. He proudly attended their sporting events or concerts whenever he could.

Todd was employed at various employers throughout the years as a Maintenance Technician. He was the best wherever he was employed. He retired from Didion in 2022, but quickly became bored and stir crazy, so he rejoined them shortly after on a part time basis.

In addition, Todd decided to obtain his CDL and drive semi-truck for Kurt Williams after retirement. He was extremely proud of this accomplishment, along with obtaining his EMT certification in 1998.

His hard-working ethic was passed onto his two daughters. He was tremendously proud of them and was proud to wear the “girl dad badge” with honor.

He will be missed greatly by his wife, Nanette; his daughters: Kim (Mike) Biel and Amanda (Jake) Stein; his father Vernon Selk; his pride and joy of grandchildren who knew him as “Big Moe,” or “Papa Todd,”…Bristol, Bennett, Brady, Nash, and Pierce; his dog, Sophie; his siblings: Terri (Dave) Kelm, Tammy (Joe) Loeck, Tracy (Scott) Sadoski, Trisha Selk, Tara (Bruce) Bartels, Tim (Loren) Selk, and Tyler (Michelle) Selk; brothers-in-law: Norm (Brenda) Dahl and Mike (Laura) Dahl; step-father-in-law, Frank Higgins; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Selk; brother, Tom Selk; best friend, Spiro Agnew; nephew, Brandon Witthun; sister, Tanya Selk; mother-in-law, Nancy Dahl-Higgins; and father-in-law, Norman Dahl.

A visitation will be held at the Cambria Fire Department Community Center on Sunday, October 6th from 12 PM-3 PM with a short service to follow officiated by Rev. Eric Taylor. A Celebration of Life may be held in honor of Todd at a later date at one of his favorite local establishments.

Harley Davidson and Jean attire is strongly encouraged in memory of Todd. We all know he hated to dress up.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the First Responders and civilians who responded on September 27th.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to family to help cover expenses.
