1932-2015
Theodore “Ted” Bishop, 83, of Waupun, died Friday evening, August 7, 2015 at Waupun Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Ted was born February 27, 1932 in Barron, WI the son of Frank and Esther Dammin Bishop. On May 28, 1955 he married Elaine Edmunds in Winter, WI. The couple resided in Winter, Waupun, Beloit, and then returned to Waupun in 1983. Ted was employed by Beloit Pipeline, Edmunds Forest Products of which he was co-owner, and W.D. Navis in Waupun. Ted enjoyed gardening, took pleasure in the care of his lawn, enjoyed traveling, and was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. But most of all, Ted loved to be with his family.
Ted is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine Bishop of Waupun; four children: Beth Bishop of Waupun, Mike (Sue) Bishop of Waupun, Bruce (Amy) Bishop of Beloit, and Brad (Cheryl) Bishop of Beloit; nine grandchildren: Chris (Alissa) Bishop, Nicole (Josh) Russell, Jennifer (Joe) Brydges, Amanda Bishop, Chad (Angela) Bishop, Ehin (Brandie) Bishop, and Adam Bishop; 11 great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Ehron, Alec, Grace, Chesney, Madelynn, Makenzie, Carson, Braylen, Lily, and Kennedy; two brothers: Cecil Bishop and Leland (Arlene) Bishop; and three sisters: Mae Anderson, Janet (Duane) Butler, and Yvonne Rusk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Irene Kozik and Lois Carlson.
Services:
Per Ted’s request there will not be a formal service. The family will have a private gathering to celebrate Ted’s life.
