Terry L. Meyer

Terry “Flip”  Meyer, 74, of Waupun, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Waupun Christian Home following 4 years of fighting cancer. 

Terry was born  May 18, 1949 in Beaver Dam, WI, to Irving H. and Jean (Hartleb) Meyer.  Terry attended Cambria schools until 8th grade. He began his freshman year at Waupun High School, graduating in 1967. Following high school Terry attended University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, receiving his bachelor’s degree. On August 29, 1970 he married Lana Lemke in Waupun. Terry was employed at East Central Breeders / Select Sires as a technician in Waupun and was later employed as a manager at Edmunds Bus Service and Johnson Bus Service in Waupun. 

Terry enjoyed drinking coffee, bike riding, playing golf, and helping friends and neighbors.  

Terry was a member of the Union-Congregational Church where he served on various committees. 

Terry is survived by his wife, Lana (Lemke) Meyer of Waupun; his son, Tim (Debra) Meyer of Butte des Morts; his daughter, Martha (Sonny Kwon) Meyer of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He is further survived by grandchildren: Alex and Zach Meyer and Mia and Ian Kwon; his sister, Susan (Delwin) Draeger of Jefferson; brothers-in-law, Mark (Barbara Earle) Lemke of Bastrop, Texas and  Bob (Liz Young) Lemke of Chandler Arizona; and Terry’s dog, Hattie. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; Irv and Jean Meyer; mother and father-in-law Milan and Evelyn Lemke; and his brother, Steve Meyer. 

Memorial service and celebration of Terry’s life will take place on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Jacob Nault officiating. Friends and relatives of Terry Meyer may call on the family on Saturday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
