Roxann Roe, 53, of Brandon, passed on to a better place following a year-long battle with cancer on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home with her family at her side.




Roxann was born March 8, 1960 in Waupun the daughter of James and Elizabeth Daane Westhuis. On September 26, 1981 she married David Roe in Brandon. Following their marriage the couple resided in Brandon all their married lives. Roxann worked most of her life in the food service industry, beginning her career at a young age at Helen’s Kitchen in Waupun and finishing her career at Beaver Dam Community Hospital after becoming ill in December of 2012. Roxann’s joy in life was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Many good times were spent in her backyard paradise playing ladder golf, cards, and visiting with family and friends.

Roxann is survived by her husband, David Roe of Brandon; three daughters, Shelly (Joe) Schmuhl of Brandon, Becky (Ryan) Redmann of Brandon, and Brittany (Shawn) Weyer of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Duel, Erick Schmuhl, and Morgan Jahn; five brothers, Elton (Sue) Westhuis of Exland, WI, Gary (Kathy) Westhuis of Markesan, Harvey (Karen) Westhuis of Brandon, Keith Westhuis of Waupun, and Kenny (Nancy) Westhuis of Coloma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Westhuis.




Visitation:


Friends and relatives of Roxann Roe may call on the family at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.



Services:


Funeral services for Roxann Roe will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon with Rev. John Tilstra officiating.



Burial:


Burial will follow at Brandon Cemetery.
