Ronald W. Worm, 80, of Waupun, died Saturday morning, July 9, 2016 at his home.
Ron Worm was born October 8, 1935 in Milwaukee, the son of Gerhard and Evelyn Ruesch Worm. Ron was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1954. Ron served six years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. On February 25, 1956 he married Sharon Sindler in Marinette, WI. The couple resided in Marinette for four years and then moved to the Milwaukee area. Ron was employed at American Motors as a carpenter for ten years, and then a policeman for the city of Milwaukee for ten years. In 1976 they moved to Fox Lake and Ron became employed at Waupun Correctional Institution for 20 years, and retired in 1998. Ron attended Edgewood Community Church in Waupun.
Ron is survived by two sons: Randy (Diane) Worm of Waupun and Todd (Lori) Worm of Markesan; three grandchildren: Lisa (Brad) Bille, Jeremy (Jessica) Worm, and Andrew Worm; six great-grandchildren: Bryant, Bailey, and Brelynn Bille, Jason Hataway, and Jalynn and Jade Worm; a sister, Elaine (Harold) DelFosse of Watertown; and special friends: Joan and Ned Cresico of rural Randolph and Joe Wallenger of Markesan.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon in 2007; a sister, Laverne Delfosse; and a brother, Gerhard Worm Jr.
Private family graveside services will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
