Ronald W. Wienke “Wink”

Ronald W. Wienke “Wink”, 57, of rural Markesan, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 10, 2012 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.



Ron was born April 4, 1955 in Beaver Dam, the son of Donald and Lois Putnam Wienke. He was raised in Fox Lake and a graduate of Waupun High School, class of 1974. On February 14, 1976 he married MarySue Oechsner in Waupun. Ron was employed by Alto Dairy, Con-Agra Foods in Mayville and Didion Ethanol in Cambria. He was also a well known floor installer throughout the area. Ron was blessed with many talents and skills and never refused to help anyone who asked. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed life to the fullest. Some of Ron’s favorite activities were fishing, camping, hunting, and being with friends and family. Ron always looked forward to the hunting adventures and the many group fishing tournaments which he hosted. Ron will be missed by many friends, neighbors, hunting groups, fishing club members, and especially his life-long friend, Craig Brengle.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Lori Wienke; his former wife, MarySue Wienke Miller; his mother, Lois Dawson; his brothers and sisters, Richard (Sally) Wienke, Janet Sperger (Dennis Bostwick), Russell Wienke, and Karen (John) Boortz; former brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Margaret) Oechsner, Margaret (Wayne) Bunkoske, James (Carol) Oechsner, and Betty (Duane) Schultz; his aunt, Jean Garczynski; his aunt and godmother, Shirley Janczak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his dog, Calie.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wienke; step-father; William Dawson; brother-in-law, Courtland “Butch” Sperger Jr., and his former father and mother-in-law, John and Helen Oechsner.


Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m.

Services:
Funeral services for Ron will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.
