Rolland Bresser, 58, of the town of Oakfield, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
Rollie was born August 14, 1954 in Waupun, the son of Russell and Claudia VanWyk Bresser. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1972. On May 19, 1978 he married Jane Derksen in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in the Waupun area all their married lives. Rollie farmed in the town of Oakfield and became employed at Dodge Correctional in 2000. In 2006 he transferred to the Waupun State Farm, retiring in 2011. Rollie worked part time as a transport officer for the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department. He attended Edgewood Community Church in Waupun. Rollie enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an avid motorcyclist.
Rolland is survived by his wife, Jane of the town of Oakfield; their four children, Katie (Doug) Engelbert of McKinney, TX, Becky (Erin) Rieken of Grand Meadow, MN, Amy (Scott) Feyen of Lamartine, and Jon Bresser of the town of Oakfield; three grandchildren, Owen, Abby, and Elyse; four sisters, Marcia (Harvey) Smit of rural Mayville, Laurie (Jeff) Mueller of Waupun, Vonnie (John) Hofman of rural Fond du Lac, and Cindy (Gary) Sullivan of Waupun; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Derksen of the town of Waupun; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary Stalker, Judy (John) Sytsma, Roy (Carol) Derksen, Joyce (Doug) Stelsel, Russell (Cindy) Derksen, Roger (Janice) Derksen, and Ross (Evelyn) Derksen; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Rollie was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Claudia Bresser; and his father-in-law, Clarence Derksen.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Rollie Bresser may call on the family on Monday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Rolland Bresser will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Community Church in Waupun with Pastor Roger Knowlton officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
