Roger W. “Dusty” Sanders, 86, of Waupun, died Friday evening, March 7, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Roger was born December 16, 1927 in Menominee, WI the son of Joseph and Helen Corn Sanders. Roger’s family moved to La Crosse where he graduated from La Crosse Central High School. On September 17, 1949 he married Audrey Bell in La Crosse where they resided until 1956 at which time they moved to Waupun. Roger was employed at Central State Hospital (Dodge Correctional Institution) in Waupun and retired in 1984. Roger also worked at Home Contractors & Supply in Waupun for several years. Roger was a devout Christian. He and Audrey were instrumental in helping start the Church of Christ (Sunnyview Christian Church) in Oshkosh.
Roger is survived by he and Audrey’s three children: Randy (Debra) Sanders of Richland Center, WI, Kelly (Paulette) Sanders of Hancock, WI, and Jayne (Dennis) Hopp of Waupun; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Besse Fjelsted of Dover, DE; two brothers, Ralph (Jackie) Sanders of Fort Atkinson, WI, and Kenneth (special friend Virginia Pearson) Sanders of Rockford, IL; along with nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey in 2006; a daughter, Jacquelyn Neuman; a great-grandchild, Kadi Lynn Smith; and two brothers, Charles and Sidney Sanders.

Friends and relatives of Roger Sanders may call on the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Roger Sanders will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 a .m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. David Bruess officiating.
