Rodger Schley, 54, of Waupun, passed away Friday, August 10th, 2018 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Rodger was born September 26, 1963 in Waupun to Oliver and Kathryn Tompkins Schley. Rodger attended Waupun Schools. After graduation he worked on the family farm and later ran his own farm. He then started his own tree trimming business. On March 14, 2004 he married Debbie Pinkerton. He enjoyed being an arborist. He loved to plant, trim and take care of trees. He loved nature, farming, music, and writing his own stories.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Debbie Schley of Waupun; a son, Jacob Schreiber of Fox Lake; six sisters: Diane Schley of Michigan, Janice Schley of Oregon, Joanne (Dale) Knoll of Fox Lake, Karen (Bob) Mielcarek of Madison, Lenette (Joe) Thompson of Madison, and Ellen Schley of Texas; two brothers: Carlton (Bernice) Schley of Fox Lake and Craig (Rachel) Schley of Madison; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Schley; and two nephews: C.J. Schley and Kristopher Michael Knoll.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorial services for Rodger Schley will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 5 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.
