Robert Malnory

Robert E. (Bob) Malnory, 98, of Sun Prairie passed away on March 19, 2025 with family at his side.

Bob was born January 6, 1927 in Poy Sippi, WI the son of Elwin and Lucille Malnory. Bob graduated from Redgranite High School as salutatorian of his class in 1944. Bob met Marion Damsteegt and they were married August 27, 1950 in Waupun. They resided in Waupun until moving to Sun Prairie in 2013.

After high school he enlisted in the USAF Air Cadet Program and was called to active duty in 1945. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

After graduating form Pharmacy School Bob went to work at Damsteegt Drug Store in Waupun. In 1964 Bob and Marion opened Malnory Pharmacy which they ran until selling their inventory in 1982. After that he worked in the pharmacy at Waupun Memorial Hospital as well as various pharmacies in the Waupun area.

Bob enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Rock River Country Club. He was especially proud of his two holes in one. He was also an expert wood carver and well known locally for his carvings of birds, Santas and Kachina dolls. Bob and Marion also enjoyed traveling, taking many overseas trips and winter vacations to Florida and Arizona.

Bob is survived by his son, Rob Malnory, his sister Jeanne Angelo, two nieces and one nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion, sister Barbara Buhrow, two brother-in-laws, and one niece.

Per Bob’s wishes there will be no services.
