Robert Kopf

Robert L. Kopf, 100, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. 

Robert was born November 13, 1923 in Fond du Lac, the son of Clarence and Martha Ott Kopf. Bob was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School in 1942. Following graduation he worked on his uncle's farm for seven years, supporting the war effort during World War II.

On January 31, 1951 he married Loraine Towne in Fond du Lac where they resided for three years and later farmed for three years. He was then employed by AC Nielsen Co. in Fond du Lac where he was employed for 30 years. He and Loraine resided on Hwy 151 near Oakfield for most of their married lives. Upon retiring from AC Nielsen Co. he worked for Fond du Lac County delivering meals to shut-ins for 20 years. Bob was a lifetime member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He was a member of Prison City Square Dance Club and also enjoyed polka dancing.

Robert is survived by seven sons: Gary (Linda Kay) Kopf, Donald (Linda S.) Kopf, Dean (Elvira) Kopf, Mark (Heidi) Kopf, James (Karen) Kopf, Brian (Cheryl) Kopf, and Scott (Dan Valley) Kopf; 16 grandchildren; Christopher (Marya) Beres, Chad (Tina) Beres, Ryan (Jen) Kopf, Lee Arthurs, Joe (Abby) Kopf, Marshall Kopf, Bill (Stephanie) Kopf, Stephanie Kopf, Michelle (Don) Butzke, Emily (Hans) Wagenpfeil, Devin (Allison) Schonasky, Logan Schonasky, Keshia (Justin) Leuck, Brent Kopf, Leslie Kopf, and Carly Kopf; 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and nieces and nephews. 

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine in 2005; a brother, Orman Kopf; and two sisters: Elaine Kopf and Bernice Sampson. 

Funeral services for Robert L. Kopf will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11 am. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Pastor Tom Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
