Richard L. Johnson, Jr.

Richard L. Johnson, Jr., 58, of Waupun, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident.




Richard was born March 9, 1956 in Milwaukee the son of Richard Sr. and Loretta Grunert Johnson. Rich served in the US Navy in Vietnam. On August 18, 1979 he married Diane Rector in Hartland and the couple lived in the Pewaukee area before moving to the Oakfield/Waupun area where they raised their family. Richard was previously employed by Federal Mogul of Waupun as a quality engineer. In 2008 the couple moved to the Houston, TX area where he continued working. In 2014 they returned to Waupun and Rich was employed by TST Thermal Spray Technologies in Sun Prairie, WI as a quality manager. Rich loved to spend time with his family and ride his motorcycle with his sons.

Richard is survived by his wife, Diane Johnson of Waupun; two daughters: Theresa (Tony) Watts of Greendale, and Heather (Jamie) Henderson of Oshkosh; two sons: Justin (Linda) Johnson of Beaver Dam, and Richard III (Lindsy) Johnson of Oshkosh; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Renee (Theodore) Siecinski of Hebron, IN; a brother, Leonard (Kay) Johnson of Racine; his father and step-mother, Richard, Sr. and Kay Johnson of Fox Point, WI; and his mother-in-law, Judy Klosky of Delavan.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends and relatives of Richard L. Johnson, Jr. may call on the family on Friday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.



Services:


Funeral services for Richard L. Johnson Jr. will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Jeff Brower officiating.



Burial:


Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun where American Legion Post 210 of Waupun will perform military rites.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Richard’s name.
