Pawel Tordoff , age 21 of Cambria, died as a result of an industrial accident at the Didion Milling plant in Cambria. Pawel Tordoff was born on January 6, 1996, in Ruda Śląska, Poland. He was adopted by Rob and Eve Tordoff in 2008 and came to live in Neshkoro, WI. Rob and Eve chose to adopt from Poland because of family ties with the country and a previous adoption of Pawel’s brother, Kuba, in 2002. Pawel attended Green Lake High School but completed his education at Westfield High School, graduating in 2014. Pawel and Kuba spent much of their time together working on cars, skiing, playing soccer, biking, playing video games and doing firewood at their home. Pawel was always very athletic and excelled in sports. His favorite sport was soccer (piłka nożna) but also enjoyed playing football and basketball. Pawel was always known as the “one with the leg” because had such a powerful kick. Often in practice he would be practicing field goals from 65+ yards. In his spare time, Pawel enjoyed hunting and fishing and would often bike to the nearby lakes to catch the big one. The night before the accident, Pawel caught a 28in walleye and he was very proud of it and he was very excited to share it with his family and friends. On October 24, 2016, Pawel married Abigail Roberts, and they moved to Cambria, Wisconsin shortly after their wedding. On February 22, 2017, Pawel and Abigail welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Azariah, who became his pride and joy. Pawel's main focus was to provide for his family and to be the best father/husband to his wife and son. Pawel was working at Didion milling and recently secured a full time position with them. Pawel found great joy providing for his family by working for Didion, and was very good at what he did. Best of all, he enjoyed his co-workers and was inspired by Didion’s leadership. Pawel's goofy nature always kept the mood light. He loved to make goofy faces, and making people laugh was one of his greatest talents. Pawel will be sadly missed and mourned by his wife Abigail and their son Azariah of Cambria; his parents, Rob and Eve Tordoff of Neshkoro; his brother, Kuba (fiancé, Karley Wentz) Tordoff of Oak Creek; many other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services for Pawel will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cambria with Rev. Kristin Frederich and Fr. Dale Grubba officiating. A private burial will be held in the Cambria Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary prayer service will also be held at the church beginning at 9:15 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. The Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria is serving the family.
