Paul Pausma

Paul Pausma, age 62, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born on December 15, 1961, the son of Dewey and Lois Greenfield Pausma. Paul was a proud graduate of Waupun High School in 1980. He dedicated his early years to the family farm. After several years on the farm, he transitioned to a career with the Department of Corrections, where he worked diligently to raise his rank to Captain before retiring.

Paul was known for his clever wit and robust sense of humor. He had a unique talent for crafting riddles and poems, often captivating family and friends with his creative expressions. Paul's love of music was evident as he frequently sang along in the car, showcasing his passion for life. Paul found joy in the great outdoors, whether he was pheasant hunting with his beloved dog Rudy or riding his motorcycle with his brothers and nephews. His spirit of adventure was matched only by the miles he put on his bike, exploring the countryside and making memories along the way.

Paul is survived by his cherished daughter, Grace Pausma; his two brothers, Jeff (Melissa) Pausma and Mike (Desirae) Pausma; his sister, Karen Pausma; his parents, Dewey and Lois Pausma, and many nieces and nephews who held him dear.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Landaal, and his two brothers, Jerry and Phil Pausma. His legacy of love, laughter, and many fond memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral services for Paul Pausma will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun, with Pastor Greg Schuringa officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
