Patricia Ann Biesenthal, 78, of rural Markesan, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Markesan Resident Home.
Pat was born July 16, 1934 in Ripon the daughter of John W. and Ione “Helen” Mlodzik Guderski. Pat was a 1952 graduate of Markesan High School. On July 20, 1957 she married Orville Biesenthal at St. Joseph’s rectory in Markesan. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Markesan area all their married lives. Pat was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church (St. Joseph’s) in Markesan where she had been on the parish council, coordinator of CCD, and on its Altar Society. Pat was an election poll worker for the Town of Mackford. Pat enjoyed her grandchildren very much. She also enjoyed watching sports, playing cards and bowling. She was an avid baker, baking for her family and others. Over the years, Pat and Orville enjoyed traveling.
Pat is survived by her five children, Cindy Biesenthal and her husband, Joe Brockman, of Madison, Candi (Joe) Konyn of Sussex, Steve (Nancy) Biesenthal of rural Markesan, Tammy (Mike) Hopp of Manchester, Tom (Becky) Biesenthal of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Sama Shannag of Madison, Courtney Konyn of Ban Patong, Phuket, Thailand, Brian Konyn of Sussex, Xavier Hopp of Manchester, and Jackson Biesenthal of Fond du Lac; brothers and sisters, John F. (Ruth) Guderski of Princeton, Eva Mae Astrach of Berlin, Lucille (Bob) Severson of LaVerne, CA, Stanley (Janice) Guderski of Golden, CO, Jim Guderski of Crawford, CO, Alvin Guderski of Ripon, Joe (Marilyn) Guderski of Markesan, Tom (Colleen) Guderski of Ripon, Mark Guderski of Spencer, WI; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen “Biese” (Edith) Biesenthal of Markesan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, on October 6, 2009; her parents; a sister, Frances Mattson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Edna Biesenthal; brother-in-law, John Astrach; and sister-in-law, June Biesenthal.

Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Markesan with Fr. David Greenfield officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Mackford Union Cemetery in the town of Mackford.
