Michael Scot Glamann, age 66, passed away on January 23, 2025 after a long battle surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on September 13, 1958, the son of Donald Merlin and Janet Mae Wegenke Glamann. A proud veteran, Michael graduated from Horicon High School in 1977 before joining the Army and subsequently transferring to the Marines. On May 24, 2003 he married Carolyn Valiquette. Michael dedicated his life to serving others and embraced every opportunity to make a difference. His service took him to Hawaii and then overseas, where he bravely served in a warzone during active duty. After returning home, he pursued a career helping those in need, becoming an EMT with Brooks Ambulance and later a paramedic with Gold Cross Ambulance in Oshkosh. His commitment to emergency services continued as he worked with Gold Cross in Oshkosh and eventually took on the role of Correctional Officer at Waupun Correctional Institution, where he specialized in gang unit work, a job he loved immensely.

Michael’s hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit and thirst for knowledge. He found joy in hunting, reading an extensive array of books, golfing, and had a great love for animals. Long car rides to significant places offered him solace and connection to his cherished memories.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carolyn, with whom he shared 21 wonderful years; and a loving family that includes his son, Michael (Alise James) Glamann II; his daughter Kristin (David Grace) Glamann; stepsons: James (Kathleen) Peronto and Ryan Peronto; and three adoring grandchildren: Isaiah, Konner, and Emma. Michael is also survived by his sister, Heidi (Mike) Strauss; his former wife, Patti (Jerry) Pflueger; brothers-in-law: Tom Valiquette and Tom Murray; sister-in-law, Lisa Glamann; his beloved dog Buddy; and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him deeply.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Doug Glamann.
