Friesland: Maxine Delores Vivian Trotz, age 88 of Friesland, died peacefully at her home early Monday morning, April 25, 2015. Funeral services for Maxine will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Friesland on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. John Unnasch officiating. Burial will follow in Friesland Cemetery. A luncheon will be serviced in the church fellowship hall. Relatives and friends may call on the family at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Maxine was born in Randolph on October 14, 1927 the daughter of Earl and Etta (Budde) Dolgner. She attended Friesland State Grade School and graduated from Randolph High School in 1945. She furthered her education at Business Institute of Milwaukee, receiving and administrative secretary diploma. Maxine was employed with Blatz Brewery in Milwaukee and was united in marriage to William “Bill” LeRoy Trotz on May 22, 1948 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Friesland. Together they moved to Beaver Dam where they started a family. They later moved to the village of Friesland where she had been employed as village clerk/treasurer for 11 years. Maxine assisted area business’ with their bookwork and then was employed with the Cambria-Friesland School District for 24 years, retiring on July 1, 1995. After her retirement, Maxine continued to do bookwork over the years when needed at Diaryland Automotive in Randolph. She was a devoted member of Trinity Ev. Church in Friesland was the church organist for 60 years and choir director for 30 years. Maxine was active in her church with the Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Cambria American Legion Auxiliary Unit 401 having served as past president and secretary and also taught piano lessons for many years which she thought more as a hobby and enjoyed reading and traveling. Maxine will be sadly missed and mourned by her husband Bill of Friesland; her three children, Daniel (Teresa) Trotz of Dalton, Julie Trotz of Onalaska and Barbara Trotz of Inver Grove Heights, Min.; three grandchildren, Andrea (Caleb) Opalewski of Dalton, Andrew Trotz of Dalton and Adam (Heather) Trotz of Black River Falls; fivee great grandchildren, Alyssa and Emmy Opalewski and Austin, Ashtin and Addy Trotz; a sister-in-law, Carla Borde of Fall River; several other relatives and dear friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, Alfred and Veron Trotz.
