Max Baum, 84, of Fox Lake passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Max was born December 23, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of Max and Harriett Greyzzik Baum. Max enlisted in the United States Navy where he was stationed in Rhode Island. During his time in the Navy he married Shirley Wegner. After being discharged the couple moved to Wisconsin. Max helped his father with his paint company “Easterday Paint Company” where Max became a paint chemist and did this at various places across the midwest. He later owned and operated the paint company until retirement. Max was involved in a lot of organizations in Fox Lake over the years. He loved being part of the YMCA in Beaver Dam where he sponsored several kids to go to camp.
Max is survived by three sons: Mark Baum of Milwaukee, Tom (Sue) Baum of Tichigan, and Mike Baum of Fox Lake; a daughter, Nancella (Mike) Roeglin of Milwaukee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Silvia Morrow and Rose Schmidt; and nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 2015; his parents; a daughter, Alaine; and a son, David.
Graveside services will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek.
