Marcella "Sally" Vande Berg

Marcella “Sally” Vande Berg, 88, of Brandon, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Sally was born June 18, 1933 in the town of Alto the daughter of Edwin and Mary Loomans Vant Hoff. On August 18, 1955 she married Raymond “Mike” Vande Berg in Alto. Sally and Mike farmed in the Brandon area for many years. Following farming she worked at Fairwater Canning Company and at The Christian Home in Waupun. Sally was a member of Alto Reformed Church and a member of it’s Golden Lifers. She enjoyed supporting the Badgers, Packers, and baking. She was a leader of Brandon Tanagers 4-H Club where she taught baking.

Marcella is survived by three children: daughter, Roxanne (Keith) Pollesch; two sons: Randy (Jodi) Vande Berg and Rick (Gay Nell) Vande Berg, all of Brandon; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; her parents; three sisters: Evelyn Navis, Elaine Greenfield, and Carol Navis.


Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.


Funeral services for Marcella “Sally” Vande Berg will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church.


Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
