Lorena Marlene Williams, 81 of W10601 Blackhawk Trail, Fox Lake, died unexpectedly Sunday 10/22/2018 at University Hospital in Madison.
Lorena was born April 27 1937 in Oakfield Wisconsin, daughter of William Schmidt and Elda Hackbarth. She served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964, was married to Ralph Coffman in 1964, in Hawaii. She returned to Wisconsin where she taught school in Leroy Wisconsin.
Lorena and her second husband, Dale Williams purchased the Green Bell Resort on Fox Lake in 1972 and were there until 1984. They purchased another home on the lake. She worked at Jung Seed Co until 2001, then lived at her home, retired for the remainder of her life.
Lorena was famous for her carrot cake which was always served at her annual family gathering on the lake. She enjoyed coloring cards with her friends once a week, and spent a lot of time knitting and found time to make an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include sons, Dan Coffman and his wife, Michelle, from Battle Creek Michigan, their children Alicia, Eric, and Jared, Dennis Coffman of Fond du Lac, and his children Scott and Ashley, 4 Great grandchildren, one brother in law and 1 sister in law, and many nephews, nieces, and friends along with their extended families that surrounded Lorena with love her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands Ralph Coffman and Dale Williams, brothers and sisters and their spouses and one granddaughter.
The VFW Post 8092. N4204 County Road Y, Oakfield WI, will be open from 12:00 until 5:00pm on Saturday Nov 3, with services beginning at 12:30, followed by lunch and beverages to celebrate the life of Lorena.
