Lloyd Lewis Vossekuil, 81, of Brandon, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, WI with his loving family at his side.
Lloyd was born October 27, 1931 in the township of Alto the son of James and Anna Redeker Vossekuil. On April 30, 1954 he married Pearl Kastein from Alto. Lloyd was employed at Landaal Bros. Co. in Waupun for five years. He began farming in 1956 and continued farming throughout his lifetime.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Pearl, of Brandon; two sons, Mark (Beth) Vossekuil, and Scott (Robin) Vossekuil, both of Brandon; a daughter, Kay (David) Block of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Tonya (Joel) Bruins, Jade (Dan) Bresser, Katie and Marcus Vossekuil, Julia, Laura and Andrew Block, Heather (Craig) Yunto, Paige, Berkley and Reid Vossekuil; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Ashlan, Sawyer, Brinley, Lucas, Jenna, Payton, Eyon, Landon and Kendra; a brother, Bernard (Erna) Vossekuil of Waupun; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia, in 2000; his parents; two sisters, Ardis Vossekuil and Orlene Smits; a brother, Henry Vossekuil; a brother-in-law, John Smits; a sister-in-law, Marge Vossekuil; three brothers-in-law, Ellsworth Van Buren, Roger Kastein and Kenneth Kastein; and three sisters-in-law, Mildred Van Buren, Mabel Kastein, and Cynthia Kastein.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Lloyd Vossekuil will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Lindman and Rev. Ted Medema officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
