1934-2015
Leonard B. Secklin, 80, of Waupun, died Monday, February 23, 2015.
Leonard was born in Milwaukee the son of Albert and Minnie Gross Secklin. On June 16, 1959 he married Barbara Wendorf in Wauwatosa. Leonard was employed by Milwaukee County Institutions and the Sheriff’s Department before retiring and moving to Arizona in 1978. He and his wife, Barbara, owned and operated group homes for teenagers for the State of Wisconsin. While in Arizona he was a lecturer and tour guide of Native American historical sites. The couple returned to Wisconsin in 2009.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Barbara Secklin of Waupun; children: Pam Secklin, Jean (Michael) Swesey, and Daniel Secklin; three step-children: Sharon (Michael) Jones, Richard (Carmen) Secklin, and Michael (Nina) Ricklin; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Manes; and a niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services:
There will be a private family memorial service in March.
