Karen Evans

Karen E. (Evenson) Evans, 87, of Randolph, formerly of Waupun, was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Christian Home in Waupun.

Karen was born October 18, 1936 in New London, WI. She was the daughter of Norman and Eleanor (Thompson) Evenson. Karen was a graduate of Waupun High School, class of 1954. After graduation Karen was united in marriage to Donald J. Evans on February 18, 1956 at Union-Congregational Church in Waupun. She was a homemaker her entire life. Karen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapters in Waupun and Fond du Lac.

Karen is survived by three children: Glen (Karen) Evans of Chicago, IL; Donna (Glen) Zimmerman of Waupun, and Valerie Barrera of Randolph; six grandchildren: Gabrielle Evans, Lisa Zimmerman, Jill (Darren) Ruff, Nickolas Zimmerman, Danielle (Colten) Bryant, and Mitchell (Jessica) Barrera; four great-grandchildren: Paetyn Bryant, Kiley Bryant, Jaxson Barrera, and Dakota Barrera; two sisters-in-law: Earline (Evans) Brown and Shirley Evans; and many nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in passing by her husband, Donald; her parents, Norman and Eleanor Evenson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Agnes Evans; her son-in-law, Robert Barrera; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Russel Evans, Ronald Evans, and Calvin and Sylvia Prince.

Funeral services for Karen Evans will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Pastor Jacob Nault officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
