Joseph Lee Zuehlke

With great sadness we share, Joseph Lee Zuehlke, 45, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home. 

Joe was born on April 6, 1978 in Beaver Dam. Joe graduated from Waupun High School in 1996. Joe’s fur babies were the core to his heart and he will be missed greatly by Luna. Beyond his love for dogs, Joe loved bowling, playing pool, helping others, and tinkering in the garage. Joe had to overcome a lot of obstacles in his life but through it all he always found a way to make everyone laugh. Over the last few years Joe had many physical health ailments and mental health challenges. It is his family's deepest desire he be remembered for his radiant smile and contagious laughter. 

Joe is further survived by his parents: Denise (Lee) Gassner and Lester (Linda) Zuehlke; his brother, Mike (Gina) Zuehlke; nephews: Collin (Kayla), Deszion, and Linden Zuehlke; step-brother, Jeremy (Tammy) Gassner; grandparents: Marion Zuehlke, Sharon Stripes, and Edward (Jaci) Kenney; and additional relatives and friends. 

Joe was preceded in death by his fur babies, Kodiak and Sadie; step-father, Myron Franke; grandparents: Leland Zuehlke and Donald and Erma Franke; and aunt, Brenda Borowski. 

Friends and relatives may call the family on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 3-6 pm at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 7 p.m at Jud’s Bowling Alley in Downtown Waupun.

 A private family service and burial at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du lac will be held.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor towards a memorial in Joe’s name.
