Jeanette Decker, 77, of Waupun, died Monday evening, Dec. 26, 2011, at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun.



Jeanette was born January 9, 1934, in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Henry and Mary Druif Triezenberg.

On April 30, 1953, she married Elmer Decker in Chicago, Ill.

Following their marriage the couple resided in Oak Lawn, Ill. until August 1966, at which time they moved to Waupun.

Jeanette was a member of Alto Christian Reformed Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and sang in the church choir. Her hobby was making doll clothes, which she shared with many people.

Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews and a good friend to many.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 58 years, Elmer Decker of rural Waupun; a son, Bill (Barb) Decker of Waupun; a daughter, Cathy (Mike) Dunlap of Skokie, Ill.; four grandchildren: Carrie and Ben Decker and Michael and Matthew Burke; two great-grandchildren: Elise Decker and Olivia Gabine; a son-in-law, Jim Burke of Adams, Wis., a brother, Melvin (Arlene) Triezenberg of Everett, Wash.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters: Grace and Joyce Decker and Donna Burke; four brothers; and two sisters.


Services:
Funeral services for Jeanette Decker will be held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Alto Christian Reformed Church in Alto with Rev. Forsell Gappa officiating.

Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.

Visitation: Friends and relatives of Jeanette Decker may call on the family on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
