Jean Meyer, 88 of Waupun died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Marvin’s Manor in Waupun.
Jean was born June 21, 1923 in Richfield, WI the daughter of Chester and Golda Klippel Hartleb. Jean was a graduate of Menominee Falls High School and attended business college following high school. On June 26, 1948 she married Irving Meyer in Richfield, WI. Following their marriage the couple resided in Cambria until 1963 at which time they moved to Waupun. Jean was employed for several years as a secretary for Sterk Insurance, and Dr.’s DeYoung and Andrle Veterinary Service in Waupun. Jean was a member of Union-Congregational Church in Waupun where she was active in its Women’s Fellowship.
Jean is survived by a daughter, Susan (Delwin) Draeger of Jefferson; two sons, Terry (Lana) Meyer and Steve Meyer, all of Waupun; six grandchildren, Tim (Debbie) Meyer, David (Heather) Draeger, Martha Meyer and her husband, Sonny Kwon, Joe Meyer, Kristin Draeger, and Sara Meyer; five great-grandchildren, Alex and Zachary Meyer, Courtney and Alyssa Draeger, and Mia Kwon.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Irv, in 2007.
Services:
Memorial services for Jean Meyer will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Union-Congregational Church in Waupun with Rev. Mark Arbisi officiating.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Jean Meyer may call on the family on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials
Memorials may be directed to Union-Congregational Church, the American Diabetes Association or Hospice Advantage in Fond du Lac.
