Jean McKim

Jean McKim, 88, of Waupun, passed away September 8, 2023 at her home. 

Jean was born January 31, 1935 in Grand Marsh, WI in Adams County, the daughter of Ronald and Viola Wade Rathbun. Jean was a graduate of Adams-Friendship High School in 1952. On May 28, 1955 she married Jerry Reichhoff in White Creek, WI. Following their marriage the couple resided in Adams until 1960 at which time they moved to Waupun. On August 11, 1992 Jean married Jerry Ullerich in Waupun. They resided in Waupun and spent winter months in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Jerry preceded her in death on January 13, 1998. On February 8, 2003 Jean married Paul McKim in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Jean and Paul enjoyed spending the winter in Gulf Shores and the remainder of the year in Waupun. During Jean’s employment years she worked for the Waupun School District at Jefferson School doing clerical work for 19 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Union-Congregational Church in Waupun where she served on various committees and had taught Sunday school for several years. Jean was also a past member of the Waupun Lioness Club.

Jean is survived by three children: Ron (Sue) Reichhoff, Noma Ramsett, and Joanne Hamberger; seven grandchildren: Ronna Bleich, Derry (Annisa) Bleich, Joey (Leanne) Reichhoff,  Melinda (Nathan) Webster, Teal Persinger, Dakota Ramsett, and Samantha Hamberger; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; step-children: Kathy (Darryl) Meenk, Fred (Cheryl) Ullerich, Susan Oberlin, Mary Lou (Don) Hunsaker, and Tim (Terri) McKim; and step-grandchildren. 

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jerry Ullerich and Paul “Pete” McKim; a daughter, Debbie Bleich; and a grandson, Rashi Bleich. 

Funeral services for Jean McKim will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Union-Congregational Church in Waupun with Pastor Jacob Nault officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-6 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
