Jane Nitschke, 61, of the town of Lamartine, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at her home.
Jane was born August 10, 1955, the daughter of Russell and Jessie Vande Zande Vanden Berg. Jane attended Laconia High School, graduating in 1973. Jane was employed by Flexographic Packaging Corporation in Waupun as office manager, and enjoyed six years of employment there. She loved the outdoors, deer hunting with family, and tractor pulls. She was secretary for Wisconsin Garden Tractors Pull Association for several years.
Jane is survived by two brothers: Joel Vanden Berg and special friend, Debbie Rusch of Brandon and James (Victoria) Vanden Berg of Glenbeulah; a sister, Jean (Scott) Alexander of Randolph, her beloved dog, Oso; sisters-in-law: Connie (Larry) Schaumberg, Pam (Mike) Malesevich, Debbie (Glen) Helmbrecht, and Susan Nitschke; and nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Jessie Vanden Berg; an infant brother, Jon; and a nephew, Curtis Alexander.
Gathering of friends and relatives for Jane will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1-3:30 p.m. at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with a time of sharing memories at 3:30 p.m.
Jane’s family and friends would like to say “thank you” to all who were involved in helping Jane in her last journey here on earth. A special “thank you” to The Cancer Center and Hospice Hope; “You truly are angels that help loved ones fly home.”
