James Van Ruiswyk, 84, of Waupun, died Saturday, June 02, 2012 at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun.
Jim was born November 2, 1927 in the town of Alto the son of Henry and Jessie Riel Van Ruiswyk. Jim was employed as a custodian with the Waupun School District, retiring in 1991. On June 25, 1983 he married Norma Feller in Beaver Dam. Norma preceded him in death. On June 25, 2005 he married Mary Schroeder in Beaver Dam. Jim was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church where he was an active volunteer. Mary and Jim delivered Meals on Wheels, rang bells for the Salvation Army and did other volunteer work in the community. Jim had a strong faith and love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Van Ruiswyk of Waupun; a sister, Elizabeth Bille of Fond du Lac; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma; two brothers, William and Jacob Van Ruiswyk.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Jim Van Ruiswyk may call on the family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Jim Van Ruiswyk will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Cal Vande Zande officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
