James Buchholz

James Buchholz, age 70, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac.

James was born March 26, 1954 in Waupun, the son of Edwin and Mary Hughes Buchholz. Jim graduated from Waupun High School in 1975. On August 21, 1975 he married Karilynn Pollock in Brandon. Together, they built a life in the Brandon area, where Jim was deeply involved in the agricultural community. He devoted 21 years to farming. Following his years in farming, Jim transitioned to a long and fulfilling career in the printing industry. He spent 25 years at Ripon Printers, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. Afterward, he continued his professional journey for another 25 years at Hull’s 151 Implement, where he became a familiar face and a reliable figure for customers and colleagues alike. Jim was a member at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. He was also an animal lover. Jim had a passion for antique cars, often attending shows to admire the craftsmanship and history of these vehicles. His love for motorcycling, allowed him to enjoy the great outdoors, exploring the scenic routes of the area. Additionally, he was an enthusiastic participant at tractor pulls. 

Jim is survived by a daughter, Kristina Sullivan; a son, Robert (Jennifer) Buchholz; six grandchildren: Kendra (Ben) Hando, Kara Sullivan, Riley Sullivan, Klaudia Sullivan, Anna Buchholz, and Abigail Buchholz; two great-grandchildren: Acre and Everest Hando, brothers: Marvin (Kathleen) Buchholz, Leonard (Karen) Buchholz, Wayne (Ann) Buchholz, and Carl (Marge) Buchholz; sisters: Gloria (Jeffrey) Etheridge and Joan (Bill) Schmidt; sister-in-law, Virgina Buchholz; his special dog, Sparky; and many nieces and nephews. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Roland (Joyce) Buchholz and Charles Buchholz. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
