Irmagard Pluim, 91, of Rosendale, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
Irmagard was born June 17, 1922 in Germany, the daughter of Adolph and Ella Somerfeld Diebert. In 1924 she came to the United States and resided in Brandon. Irmagard was a graduate of Brandon High School in 1939. She then attended secretary school in Oshkosh for two years. On August 19, 1941 she married Alvin Pluim in Brandon. The couple resided in Waupun most of their married lives. Irmagard was employed as a secretary for Schrank Clinic and later for Dr. Wagner in Waupun for several years, retiring in 1984. Upon retiring, she resided in Clearwater, FL for 12 years. In 1996 she moved to Rosendale, WI where she was employed part-time at the Mobil Station in Rosendale, retiring when she was 90 years of age.
Irmagard is survived by her two daughters, Penny (Jim) Tebo of Rosendale and Candy (Duane) Rens of rural Rosendale; five grandchildren, Jeff (Janet) Heiking, Jan (Russ) Saunders, Andrew (Andrea) Rens, Kristin (Jess) Washkoviak, Renee Zills and fiancé, Greg Martin; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Howard, Thelma (Jud) Schlieve, Marlene (Ken) Schlagel, Diane (Howard) Farr, Lorraine Beers, and Shirley Pluim; and several nieces and nephews.
Irmagard was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, in 1979.
Gathering/Celebration:
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Irmagards’s life will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. There will be no formal services.
