Irene McGahey

Irene McGahey, 60, of Waupun, passed away January 11, 2022 at Ripon Community Hospital.

Irene was born July 3, 1961 in Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Marlene Loomans Kraintz. Irene graduated from Berean Academy at Waupun Baptist Church and later received two degrees in English and teaching. On December 23, 1999 she married Ted McGahey. She loved to shop and get dressed up to go to dinner with her husband.

Irene is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ted; three brothers: John (Ann) Kraintz, Dan (Dawn) Kraintz, and Mike (Jean) Kraintz; and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents.



There will be a visitation at the Waupun Senior Center on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. time of service. Lunch will follow.
