Helene Florence Kilian

Helene F. Kilian, age 84 of rural Cambria died unexpectedly on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.

Helene was born on Oct. 22, 1939 the daughter of Wilbur J. and Lorraine E. (Ruehl) Hensler. She was raised in Germantown and graduated from West Bend High School in 1957. Helene worked various jobs until her marriage to Donald A. Kilian on Oct. 16, 1971 in West Bend. Following their marriage, together they moved to the present family farm after Don’s father moved to the village of Friesland. Don retired from farming in 1984 and that is when Helene went back in to the work force and was employed with Alsum Farms & Produce. Helene truly enjoyed socializing with others. She loved volunteering and spending time with others, especially with her camping family in the Wisconsin Campers Assoc. Helene was a devoted member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Friesland and a member of its ladies aid.

Helene will be sadly missed and mourned by her son, Bryan Kilian of Alma, WI; one sister-in-law, Joanne Hensler of Slinger, WI; nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.

Helene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 26, 2005; her three siblings, Dona (Frank) Lofy, Wilbur “Huntz” (Patti) Hensler and Dennis Hensler.
