Helen C. Lemmenes

Helen C. Lemmenes, 96, of Hudson, FL passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her residence.

Helen was born March 9, 1927 near Brandon, WI the daughter of James Henry and Christine Vande Zande Vermeer. On June 5, 1946 she married Henry M. Lemmenes. The couple resided in the Brandon area and later moved to Waupun. Upon Henry’s retirement in 1980 they spent the remaining years of their lives in Florida.

Helen is survived by two sons: John E. Lemmenes of California and Kurt D. Lemmenes of Florida; six grandchildren: Laurie, Teresa, Jeremy, Heather, Kevin, and Brian; and a brother, Eugene “Butch” Vermeer of Waupun.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Lemmenes; her son, Milan Lemmenes; granddaughter, Rebecca Lemmenes; sister, Phyllis Hartgerink; and two brothers: Arnold Vermeer and Erwin “Jack” Vermeer.

Funeral services for Helen C. Lemmenes will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11 am. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.  A visitation with friends and family will take place Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
