1937-2015
Harold “Jumbo” TeBeest, 78, of Brandon, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 11, 2015 surrounded by his family following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jumbo was born February 18, 1937 in rural Brandon the son of Gilbert and Elsa Heller TeBeest. Jumbo graduated from Waupun High School in 1955 and married Jane McLeod on August 3, 1956 in Waupun. Jumbo owned and operated T.V. Building and Supply in Brandon with his good friend, Earl Van Buren. He then enjoyed installing agricultural curtains and barn fans with his grandsons. Jumbo had a passion for serving his country and community. He served in the National Guard with a year of active duty at Ft. Lewis Washington during the Berlin Crisis. He was a member of the Brandon Fire Department for 20 years and was also a member of the Brandon Lions Club where he recently received the Birch-Strum Fellowship Award for his dedicated service. Every day the weather was nice you would find Jumbo on the golf course, giving it his best shot. If the weather was not ideal he would spend his time working in his shop making saw dust. Jumbo was a man who loved the Lord and lived a faith-filled life. He was an example for every member of his family of what it looked like to love God and let faith be his guide. He was a member of Brandon United Methodist Church for many years.

Jumbo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane TeBeest; his three children: Susan (Dan) Stelsel of Waupun, Jill (Mark) Ramsey of Brandon, and Peter (Vicky) TeBeest of Ripon; a brother, John TeBeest of Waupaca; a sister-in-law, Susan (Jerry) Giebink of Waupun; grandchildren: Andy (Lissa) Stelsel, Amy (John) Toutant, Emily (Brett) Bille, Joe (Lyndsey) Ramsey, Arica (Matt) Leonard, Laura (Jorge) Ramsey-Camil, Terra (Nic) Mattheis, and Mary (Dan) Mertens.
