1942-2015
Gordon J. Hengeveld, 72, of Lomira, died suddenly on Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Cedarburg, WI doing what he loved; selling items at its flee market.
Gordon was born September 12, 1942 in Waupun the son of Garrett and Alice Ruitenberg Hengeveld. Gordon graduated from Brandon High School in 1961. He worked in various area shoe factories until he started working as a carpenter which he enjoyed for many years with Benter Builders of Theresa. Gordon and his brother, Alton, followed Lomira High School basketball and football games and attended faithfully for 50 years.
Gordon is survived by two brothers: Alton Hengeveld of Lomira and Harvey (Debbie) Hengeveld of Lomira; two nephews: Trevor Howe of Florida and Brad Hengeveld of Lomira; and a niece, Carrie Hengeveld of Lomira.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.

Friends and relatives may call on the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Gordon J. Hengeveld will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. J.D. McCarty officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Alto.
