Gerald G. Graunke, 86, of Waupun, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Gerald was born June 3, 1930 in Fond du Lac, WI the son of Glenn and Sadie Kliefoth Graunke. On March 31, 1951 he married Vivian Beekman in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun their entire lives. Jerry was employed at National Rivet in Waupun for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He was a member of Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 6709 and American Legion Post 210, both of Waupun. He was a member of Union-Congregational Church in Waupun. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his sons and grandsons at their cabin up north and enjoyed camping with his family and many friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Vivian of Waupun; three children: Gregory (Gail) Graunke of Oshkosh, Jeffrey (Stacy) Graunke of Waupun, and Karen (Clifford) Teletzke of Waupun; and two grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Teletzke.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services for Gerald G. Graunke will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at
Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home
in Waupun with Rev. Dennis Overlien officiating.
Burial will follow at
Forest Mound Cemetery
in Waupun where full military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW of Waupun.
