George R. Haase, 76, of Hubertus, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at Linden Grove Rehabilitation Center in Menomonee Falls with his daughter, Tina, at his side.
George was born April 28, 1937 in the Town of Springvale near Brandon the son of George C. and Florence Priepke Haase. In 1955 he graduated from Brandon High School and enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country for four years. On May 28, 1966 he married the love of his life, Sheila Pilon. George was employed at Nielson’s in Fond du Lac and later moved to Hubertus, retiring from Catholic Knights. George was an avid Harley rider, a member of the Patriot Guards, Harley Owners Group, a Packer fan, and enjoyed wood working and crafts. George had many trips with his father and brothers, moose hunting in Canada.
George is survived by his daughter, Tina Watts of Fayetteville, NC; his mother, Florence Haase of Brandon; two brothers, James Haase of Brandon and Charles (Sherry) Haase of Brandon; a sister, Joan Root of Waupun; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila; his father, George C. Haase; and other relatives.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. American Legion Post 210 of Waupun will provide military honors.
Services:
Funeral services for George R. Haase will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Dennis Overlien officiating.
