Today God called our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister to Heaven. Evelyn Elnora Neuman, age 90, of Waupun died on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Lutheran Home and Health Services, Fond du Lac, WI.

During her lifetime she was employed at Huth-James Shoe Factory, Ideal Shoe Factory, The Christian Home of Waupun, along with several other part-time jobs to support her family. She enjoyed concertina festivals, the Brewers, bowling, horseshoes, cards, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and being with family. She believed in working hard and loving everyone. Evelyn was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended many grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s school programs and countless sporting events.

Evelyn leaves behind eight children to cherish her memory: Karen Baasch (Wayne Stobb) of Waupun, Cheryl (Pete) Brodzeller of Beaver Dam, Mary (Dennis) Mittelstaedt of Waupun, Donna (Clyde) Maxwell of Waupun, Wayne (Gloria) Schwarze of Knoxville, TN, Roy (Suzie) Schwarze of Alexandria, MN, Brian Schwarze of Lake Worth, FL, and Christina (Robert) Beske of Adams, WI; 22 grandchildren: Shelly Lackey, Randy (Vickie) Lackey, Kevin (Susie) Lackey, Eric (Elizabeth) White, Adam White, Derek Brodzeller, Jaime Brodzeller, Tammy (Gregg) Biever, Mike Mittelstaedt (Nikki), Terry (Susan) Mittelstaedt, Katie Mittelstaedt (Joey), Clyde III (Brandi) Maxwell, Andi (Mark) Colker, Erin Maxwell, Stephanie Schwarze, Jennifer (Chris) Nies, Hannah Schwarze, Raechel Schwarze (Christian), Elwood (Woody) Schwarze, Jon Schwarze, Gregory Beske (Jenna), and James Beske (Shelby); two sisters: Minnie Laue of Beaver Dam, and Edna Vredeveld of Hudson, WI; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her and whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. -Author Unknown
