Esther Oelhafen, 90, a resident of Hillside Manor of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012.
Esther was born December 16, 1921 in Lessor, WI, the daughter of William and Lena Kuehmichel Brandt. On July 26, 1947 she married Frederick Oelhafen, and they resided in St. Lawrence for most of their married lives together. Esther worked at Libbys for many years. She was an avid gardener and baker.
Esther is survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer (Russ) Miescke of Waupun and Garrett (Nancy) Heintz of Sioux Center, IA; five great-grandchildren, Brennan, Brandt, and Benjamin Heintz, and Alyssia and Kyle Thomas; and two brothers, Royal Brandt of Appleton, and James Brandt of Bonduel, WI.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; a son, Frederick; a daughter, Susan Heintz; three sisters; and six brothers.
Services:
Funeral and graveside services for Esther Oelhafen will be held Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Appleton Highland Memorial Park with Pastor Jeremy Husby officiating, and a visitation from 10-11 a.m.
