Eleanor Ball Jones, 85, passed away peacefully June 4th, 2021 at Christian Homestead Assisted Living in Waupun, WI.



Eleanor was born June 10th, 1935 in Evanston, IL to Stuart Scoble Ball and Marion Watrous Ball. Raised in Evanston, IL., she attended Evanston High School and graduated from Emma Willard Boarding School in Troy, NY. She went on to study at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.



Eleanor is survived by her children: Judith (Gregg) Stiteley, Steven (Elaine) Hausheer, Jennifer (Dave) Heidemann, Robert (Barbara) Hausheer, Barbara (Bart) Cooper, and Dexter (Cindy) Jones Jr.; five grandchildren: Ryan (Nicole) Stiteley, Kirstin (Jeff) Albiero, Reid Stiteley, Michael Hausheer, and Christopher Hausheer; seven great-grandchildren: Evelyn Stiteley, Nora Stiteley, Quinn Stiteley, Harlow Albiero, Reeve Albiero, Parker Albiero and Monroe Albiero; nieces and nephews: Charles Tramel, Janet Eads, Kenneth Tramel, Christina Mastellone and Alex Ball; brother, Stuart (Sarah Mastellone) Ball; along with many long-time family friends in South Carolina and Illinois.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart S. Ball and Marion W. Ball; her two husbands, Robert M. Hausheer and Dexter L. Jones; her sister, Marion Ball Tramel; and her stepdaughter Julie Jones.



She married Dexter Jones at the First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, IL in 1989 and after retiring, they moved to Hilton Head, SC. They attended Providence Presbyterian Church in Hilton Head, SC. They enjoyed golfing, traveling and loved spending time with their friends.




A small private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Providence Presbyterian Church in Hilton Head, SC.


Special thanks to the Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac, WI and to the nurses on the second floor of the Waupun Regional Hospital. And many thanks to all the staff at the Christian Homestead.
