Edward “Ed” Bruesch, 71, of Waupun, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home.

Ed was born July 22, 1944 in Fond du Lac, WI the son of Arnold and Irene Raddatz Bruesch. He was a graduate of Waupun High School in 1962. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for four years, and then served with the National Guard from 1972-1992. On January 8, 1972 he married Beverly Landerman in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun all their married lives. Ed was employed by Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for 39 years, retiring in 2007. Edward was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun where he had served on the church council. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fond du Lac, was a member of American Legion Post 210 in Waupun, and served as an Honor Guard for many years. Ed was honored as Veteran of the Year by American Legion Post 210 in May of 2016.

Ed is survived by his wife, Beverly Bruesch of Waupun; a son, Lee Bruesch of Waupun; a grandson, Connor Bruesch; a granddaughter, Courtney Pattee; three brothers: Dennis Bruesch of Beaver Dam, Charles “Chuck” Bruesch of Waupun, and Tom (Karen) Bruesch of Waupun; a sister, Diane (Al) Kohl of Waupun; along with nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; an infant sister; and a sister-in-law, Carmen Bruesch.


Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the

Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home

in Waupun and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.


Funeral services for Edward Bruesch will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at

Immanuel Lutheran Church

in Waupun with Rev. Jeffrey Nicla officiating.


Burial will follow at

Forest Mound Cemetery

in Waupun where American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard will perform military rites.
