Duwayne "Whitey" Heller

DuWayne “Whitey” F. Heller, age 76, died peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at the Columbus Community Hospital. A funeral service for Whitey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria with Fr. Steve Kortendick officiating. Burial will follow in Cambria Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on the family on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Whitey was born on November 18, 1939 in Fond du Lac, WI the son of Robert and Leona (Freiberg) Heller. He was united in marriage to Shelby Williams on May 10, 1969 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Columbus. Whitey farmed just south of Cambria and worked seasonally with Seneca Foods in Cambria. Whitey was a 4-H dairy leader with the Welsh Prairie Livewires and was active with the Cambria-Friesland/Randolph FFA Alumni. Whitey will be sadly missed and mourned by his wife of 47 years, Shelby; his sons, Michael (Sherrie) Heller of rural Randolph and Mark (Teresa) Heller of Columbus; his grandchildren, Sydnie, Enya and Dylan; his siblings, Milton “Tex” (June) of Randolph, Hubert “Butch” of Columbus, Margaret “Maggie” Brozek of Waunaukee, Daniel of Hartford and Elliot of Portage; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Moldenhauer of Cambria, Darleen “Tootie” McConochie of Cambria and Beverly Draheim of Beaver Dam; his brothers-in-law, Howard (Audrey) Williams of Randolph and Donald (Pamela) Williams of Doylestown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert, Gene and Wayne; one sister, Delores Carlin; his brothers-in-law, Richard Williams, Lyle McConochie, Russell Carlin, Cleve Brozek and Pete Moldenhauer and one sister-in-law, Doris Heller and one niece, Linda Carlin.
