1923-2015
Dorothy Siewert, 91, of rural Markesan, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.
Dorothy was born March 9, 1923 in the town of Marquette, Green Lake County, the daughter of Adolph G. and Jennie Weckwerth Ebert. On September 30, 1939 she married Herbert Siewert in Kingston. Dorothy and Herbert farmed in the Markesan area for many years and she also cleaned homes. Dorothy is a member of County Line Lutheran Church in the town of Fox Lake. She and Herbert enjoyed their travels to Florida, Mexico, Colorado, and California. Playing cards with their friends was an important part of their lives together. Dorothy enjoyed going to rummage sales, auctions, and fishing. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes and green peppers.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Janice (Gary) Streekstra of Waupun and Karen (Bob) Anderson of Randolph; two sons: David (Joan) Siewert of Randolph and Dennis (Karen) Siewert of Markesan; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; half-sister, Geraldine Krueger; and sister-in-law, Jan Wegwerth.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Siewert; sister, Evelyn Mielke; brother, Harold Ebert; three step-brothers: Arnold Wegwerth, Art Wegwerth, and Herb Wegwerth; half-brother-in-law, Verlyn Krueger; two grandchildren: Michael and Jeff Siewert; and great-grandchild, Blake Streekstra.

Friends and relatives of Dorothy Siewert may call on the family on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Dorothy Siewert will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at County Line Lutheran Church in the town of Fox Lake with Rev. Bruce Engebretson officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Mackford Union Cemetery.
