Dorothy Anna Michalowski

December 25, 1926 — December 17, 2024

Dorothy Anna Michalowski, age 97, peacefully passed away on December 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by her beloved family.

Dorothy was born on December 25, 1926, at home, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Pralat Przybyl. On July 17, 1948, Dorothy married the love of her life, John Michalowski in Neshkoro, WI. Together, they forged a life filled with cherished memories in Alto, where they spent their entire marriage. Dorothy dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family, and nurturing a home filled with laughter and love.

A longtime member of St. Brendan’s in Brandon, Dorothy found joy in her participation with the Altar Society, engaging deeply with her community. She had a great passion for playing cards, completing puzzles, and embracing the sound of Polka music. Her warmth extended to her fourteen grandchildren, with whom she loved to spend time with, and she found immense joy in watching the Milwaukee Brewers, always with a smile on her face.

Dorothy is survived by her loving son, Frank (Denise) Michalowski; and her four daughters: Ann Hull, Jean Schaefer, Mary (Mike) Kroll, and JoAnn (Jon) Pflieger. She also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Geralyn Michalowski, and was blessed with fourteen grandchildren: Kayla and Cody Michalowski, Jeff (Meg) Michalowski, Laura (Kirk) Wyffels, Elizabeth (Marcus) Koster, Emily (Jordan) Weber, Morgan (Fiance Daniel) Schaefer, Michael Schaefer, Mallory Schaefer, Ethan (Fiance Allison) Kroll, Aaron Kroll, and Jared, Joshua, and Jacob Pflieger; along with eight great-grandchildren: Levi, Atilah, Hendrix, Ember, Clara, Leighton, Brecken, and Brooks.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John; and her son, Jim Michalowski.
