Doris Pretz

Doris Pretz, 84, of Waupun, passed away March 15, 2016.

Doris was born May 7, 1931, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Jane Gundersen. On September 2, 1951, she married Melvin Pretz in Neshkoro, WI. Doris worked at National Rivet in Waupun for 43 years.

Doris is survived by Gene (Chris) Thompson and their family; foster daughter, Beverly (Edward) Bruesch; special friends: Alice Chase, Marcie Dwyer, Bill (Sue) Miller, Annie Hahn, Angie Veleke; other relatives; and too many more to list.

Doris, our dear friend for many years, will be deeply missed. God blessed us as her “self-adopted” family and as such a good “Aunt Doris” to our four children. We will always have many happy memories of both Doris and Melvin!


A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the chapel at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living, 819 Wilcox Street, Waupun, Wisconsin.
